In search of live gary novak recordings

these days gary novak is a major source of inspiration for me. I am putting this message out in hopes of finding some shows to trade be they Chick, R. Ford, G. Benson, M. Ferguson, Prophecy, Alanis, Bob Berg, D. Sanborn, Mike Miller etc

I *think* there may be some previously unreleased Live stuff with Chick on the Chick Corea box set. I always wanted to check that out but never have.
He played last night at the Potato.

Robben Ford "Live @ the Fillmore West" has some wicked playing from Novak. He plays this slick groove on a tune called "Oasis". At about the 10 minute mark of the track, he fires off on one nasty solo. Novak is the only drummer I know that can come close to being able to phrase like Vinnie.

Thanx 4 the heads up on the Ford CD. I saw Gary w/ Chick's E-Band right aft Weckl, & everyone in the house's eyes were on him. He simply blew me away. & I was fortunate enuf to talk to him, altho somewhat briefly, aft the show. Then I heard him when he did the CD & tour w/ Holdsworth - holy bi***-slap, Batman.

The boxed set i believe u are refering to has the last cd of the set being a few standards recorded in the studio as the quartet. berg,patittuci,novak.
Mmmmmmmmm indeed Novak w/ Holdsworth was awe inspiring in fact in 97 when i got to town the first show i went to was the holdsworth trio at the original baked potato. I ll never forget seeing Gary pull around back with those bubunga sonors hanging out of his convertable firebird

Lastly , is the r. ford cd commercially available?

A new Alanis Morrisette dvd was released today with Gary on it, he is playing dejembe and assorted percussion. I think the title was Alanis on the Navajo reservation or something like that.
